At first, it seemed like he was just joking. I still think so.
But you think he's pretending to be an investigator. If he's an investigator, he wouldn't have executed me. If he executes me, then he's lying and he's not an investigator. So, he's a suspicious type, probably a negative one. He might even be Kraken, since he really doesn't like that I'm only digging up the second clue.
