Alaria looked around in confusion. The estate had vanished, as if it had all been a bad dream. The drowsiness she had been in had dissipated. Now, the Tanar found herself in a new environment, a lavishly furnished residence. The decor of the room was only slightly different from that of the Remian aristocracy, at least based on the Tanar's very limited experience. However, she didn't understand what she was doing here, or why she couldn't remember anything about her arrival. Had she taken on some difficult and risky task, which resulted in her memory loss, and this was the employer's home? Perhaps. Or had she been kidnapped and her memories clouded by magic? That was also possible, but less likely. She wasn't restrained in any way. Her weapons were also with her. A strange situation, to say the least. Absorbed in her thoughts about her current situation, Alaria didn't even notice at first when two unfamiliar men entered the room. The first was a stern-looking Nihon man of middle age; his gait revealed him to be an experienced warrior who had clearly been through many battles. He was unlikely to be the owner of this place. More likely, he was a guest or a mercenary. The second was a younger man, probably a Darkian. At least, that's what she guessed based on his demeanor and the two-handed sword hanging on his back. In any case, it seemed that she would soon get answers to at least some of the questions that had arisen. Perhaps they would be answered immediately. Or perhaps they would be replaced by new ones. However, there was little point in guessing, so Alaria simply waited for one of the strangers to start a conversation.
