None of us ever understood what Yashchur was doing in the boat, and who could have killed him. Some newcomers came up with theories that the captain wanted to get rid of a competitor in such a sneaky way, but I think it's all nonsense.
Jack Sparrow or Hector Barbossa? They both seem to be contenders for the role of the captain's competitor.
And regarding Locken, I don't understand what the hint is about his role.
