“Maybe we should order the house specialty?” Beata glanced at Gion.
“I don’t like that dish. It reminds me of that monster… You know…”
“How could I forget,” the girl giggled. “Okay, let’s not experiment.”
Under the table, Beata subtly stepped on Gion’s foot.
“Ah, yes…” the young man added, realizing he was about to look like a complete idiot. “You see, the administrator at the Hearth gave us a tip. He told us to say a secret code here…”
Beata looks expectantly at her companion, her lips spreading into a cunning smile.
“Pam-param and three X’s,” Gion said resignedly.
Beata stifled a laugh.
