Couldn't the Heroine have been a doctor?
We have three and a half elements: hanging, the question of civilization, and a vulnerable nature + suicide.
The description doesn't say anything about her personal kindness, although she is a nun who came to help and enlighten the natives, bringing the benefits of civilization with her, so it's all implied, and in the end, she was strangled by the rabble.
The vulnerability could be a clue, and the hanging is the murder weapon. But at the same time, the murder is also indicated in the line about the vulnerable nature, and the initial focus on "strangled by a noose" seems unnatural; logically, it's more of a clue than something someone randomly thought about while on the toilet. Moreover, if we consider "vulnerability" as one of the elements, then it must be linked either to the description of the role in the second element, or to the clue (unlikely), or accepted as an additional part of the non-functional chronicle without any hints.
As for the murderer, I could assume that "improvisation" includes some creative methods, including staging a suicide, and not just blasting the whole album of Krzysztof Penderecki into his ears, but it seems more likely that they harassed and bullied him, he got angry, and then killed himself. For now, I can't find more plausible explanations for possible descriptions of the princess's murder (for example, I suppose she could have sent the thugs, but I don't know).
It sounds bad, the frog version seems much more solid, but I'll think about it in my free time; literary descriptions could surprise us even now.

Second question for the GM: are other actions in the newspaper displayed in accordance with the lore of the roles, at least approximately, or are they deliberately vague and have nothing to do with the setting?
Context of the question: it seems obvious that the bar is two blocks from the town and the mafia, but if the setting descriptions make sense, then I would rather characterize the night run as intimidation from the mafia, and the drinking then becomes an interrogation (and the bottle will come in handy) + patrol.
