I don't understand how this is a cyclops with an animated minotaur??? In the picture, it's just two cyclops of different heights.

It's a little bit of map editor magic; objects on the map have a model and sometimes animations (for example, windmills). I took portraits of the developers and applied the cyclops model and minotaur animations.
