Horizon of Darkness

Level 4. Nikta had to exert herself quite a bit, both physically and with her sense of smell, during this run following a week-old trail. The huntress had learned to distinguish the faint, almost faded scent in the road dust, compacted by dozens and hundreds of feet, and the marathon across open terrain under the scorching sun no longer exhausted her as much as before. Sometimes the chase turned into a mechanical routine, and to avoid completely switching off her brain, Nikta would replay recent battles in her mind, noting successful and unsuccessful techniques. Sometimes, however, she would get distracted, and had to dodge another branch or stone just in time, but that was only beneficial – training reflexes is never a bad thing. 2 in Strength, 4 in Agility, 3 in Perception.
