Since they are villains, I suggest cutting off their fingers; if they were good people, we would have cut off their ears. Perhaps a good idea would be to take their heads with us; that would make it abundantly clear that we killed them and didn't let them escape. I've heard stories about unscrupulous hunters – they'll gouge out a deer's eye or chop off a servant's finger instead of offering a sacrifice. She took a step towards the bushes. - If my help with tying up the criminal or cutting off heads isn't needed, I'll gather the traps. We still need to return the stolen goods to their rightful owner. We'll have to go back there anyway, to chase the naked-breasted mermaids out of the well.
