Horizon of Darkness

The only noteworthy thing Radiel managed to discern was the sight of giant, fat rats, no smaller than a cat, wandering around the city in search of something to eat.

It's perfect to soar high in the night sky after a good performance and see what's happening in the lands blessed by the Nightmare, to look from a bird's-eye view where his incredible music is still lacking. True, the city has long been quietly dozing in the shadows; only the silhouettes of rats crawling out of their burrows scurry in the gloom far below. Huge, well-fed creatures – could these be the ones the mayor was talking about?
Radiel takes a position on the roof of one of the houses and analyzes the movements and actions of the rats.
