The lore justification could be something like this: disgraced necromancers, fallen in battle, are resurrected by a powerful black sorcerer and punished by him – their bodies are merged into one, and now they must obey the black sorcerer with even greater zeal. Here's the first version: The second version – I quickly made it using a ghoul from Heroes 6 – I saw a similar picture online, but I didn't save it and can't find it again. The main difference between the two pictures is that in the first one (from the internet), the bodies are fused WITHOUT legs, while in my screenshot, the bodies are simply fused, and the legs are also intertwined. Moreover, the fusion can be done not only in a sequential manner but also with some bodies arranged across or diagonally, or rotated 180 degrees.
