The feast that the baron threw before the mercenaries, including Joe, departed was quite enjoyable, especially the drinks (if there were any). Before leaving, he hooked an appetizing chicken from the table with his grappling hook (accidentally knocking over a couple of plates in the process), and quickly stuffed his pockets with the remaining food, thus stocking up on provisions for the journey.

Of the rest of the journey, Joe only remembered the boat trip, which brought back pleasant memories of his past "exploits." On the other hand, the walk through the forest was not enjoyable at all – all he could do was groan and hobble, trying to keep up with the nimble newcomers.
