Horizon of Darkness

Overhearing her companions' conversation, Nikta made an effort not to slap her forehead, but decided to remain silent. She didn't really see any difference between beautiful and unattractive women (or men), and had always judged people regardless of their appearance. Sometimes, the dependence of people in the upper world on their vision saddened her, as it caused her to miss out on too much information. However, such episodes clearly indicated to Nikta that being fixated on appearance could cause more problems than it solved. Seriously, sympathizing with someone because of their pretty face or revealing outfit? The latter was also terribly impractical and unhygienic.
Speaking of not judging people by their appearance, the huntress listened to her new companion, trying to understand what kind of person she was, and, if she was lucky, to catch some interesting conversation with the abbess.
