The most useful magic for collecting artifacts, stats, angels, or ducks, and also for catching the enemy is, of course, Dimensional Door.

I'll allow myself to disagree with this because to steal an artifact from a strong guard, only Flight will help, as there is no place to jump nearby!!!;)
