What is your opinion on the expansions?

The upcoming Storm is probably more appealing than not. War of the Whirlwind is disliked, primarily because of the contrived plot, its banality, and its lack of connection to the key events of the universe. In both expansions, the deliberately annoying 3-4 units and a handful of buildings are particularly irritating. And this applies more to War of the Whirlwind. As for fan-made expansions: there are probably some good ones. I just haven't come across them yet.
