A little off-topic.
I played the Japanese and Russian versions to avoid supporting unfriendly countries, and it turns out this game is actually quite good.
6.7 out of 10.
It's childish and not very engaging. The combat isn't particularly rewarding, with a limited number of moves, repetitive side quests, and uninteresting progression. The main selling point on the PlayStation five years ago – the freedom to move around the city using webs – is detailed but not fully polished and can be tiresome at times.
The boss fights, regardless of who they are, involve dodging to the side and spamming web-shooters until a cutscene is triggered.
It's unclear where you are in the story and what happened there before; it seems to be taken from the movie franchise for those who are familiar with it. And if the movies are similar to this game, then after 12 years, I wouldn't recommend watching them anymore. Although, I guess they probably have a similar rating anyway.
