Do attacks against invisible units/attacks that ignore invisibility remove invisibility?
No. Author
Do effects from items like shields (and earrings that add damage, for that matter) or rider skills like parry or counterattack apply to the mount? Is the mount's damage added to the rider's weapon damage, or is it separate and therefore reduced by armor? Do rider buffs apply to the mount?
No. It's separate. They don't apply, but you can buff it as a separate unit. Author
Does it block any damage-dealing spells? Does it block spells that apply negative effects?
If it's a spell with damage, then it also blocks the effects. Author
As far as I understand, this shield doesn't stun archers?
If they are not close, then no. Author
Do misses count? Spells? Effects like the hoplite's stun? Does the mount intimidate if its attack is separate from the rider's attack?
Misses, yes, the rest, no. Author
I assume this includes damage rolls? If so, does it not apply to spells with fixed damage? Does it work on mounts and summoned creatures? If a character has effects like Erebus's priest skill or Selena's earrings, does the character determine the type of bonus damage themselves? Or do they immediately receive +0-1 to weapon damage and +0-1 to damage from Erebus/Selena/the hunter?
They receive it immediately for both. Author
Considering that the wording is different from a similar ability of Erebus, am I right in assuming that damage from spells/priest abilities is also increased? If so, does this also apply to the hunter's special ability? If a character with earrings attacks a gem guardian, will the armor reduce both the physical damage and the damage from the earrings by 5?
It's the same effect; I just wrote it differently. Author
Can Neptunes cast spells freely, with the caveat that some spells (like fire magic) won't work?
Yes. Author
Is the lack of cost a bug or a feature?
It's a feature... Author
If a character with a bow/crossbow/two-handed sword/any other weapon that occupies both hands places a shield in the second slot, will it be used, provided that the character does not perform any other actions during their turn except for movement? For example, if they are trying to close the distance with a spellcaster and are simply unable to attack or are ambushed.
You can determine the weapon at the beginning of the turn. Therefore, you can choose the shield and move, but in this case, features like counterattacks will not work. For ambushes, you need to choose it as the main weapon.
