I rarely abandon partially completed maps. But I no longer have the strength. It's impossible to build anything properly. I broke through the outpost, lost everyone, and somehow managed with an angel/angels later. The mines are too difficult. While I'm skipping turns, the opponent is building. Everything comes down to brute force. Brute force depends on random chance and the player's skill (seriously, even if you play as a Warrior). In well-designed maps, playing as a hero allows you to compensate for the resource difference with smart skill development. I barely managed to retake the mines with a more reasonable random chance, scraped together enough for knights, and then, fed up, I opened the map with a cheat – the opponent already has a castle built. Forget it...
