Initially, I started my acquaintance with the 3rd part; I spent a lot of time on Armageddon's Blade, but when I first launched 5, my jaw literally dropped, and when the expansions arrived, I realized that this was the game they put their soul into—I don't even know how many hours were spent on this wonderful game. My favorite part of the series, with a beautiful soundtrack, incredibly interesting battles, and great gameplay changes that didn't contradict previous parts. The campaign as Agrael will remain in my memory forever!
In reality, it is very hard to believe in the release of an 8th part; one could wait another year or two, of course, but most likely a remaster/remake of the 5th part will be released, because there isn't much that needs improving there. And naturally, the game won't be published by Ubisoft, but by third-party devs where the core hero mechanics will be preserved. I think it will be Jon Van Caneghem's studio—an American computer game developer, founder of New World Computing, who took an active part in creating game series such as Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic.
In 2014, Van Caneghem founded VC Mobile Entertainment (VCME) to create games for iOS and Android. He arranged 4.5 million dollars in investments from companies such as Tencent and Pacific Sky Investments. The VCME office is located in Los Angeles.
