...Not much is known about the vampires of Telekia, especially outside the northern continent, but it is reliably known that they do not have reproductive functions (if one doesn't consider turning other people into vampires). Nevertheless, the limitations of the vampire organism did not stop, but rather stimulated the curiosity of scientists, some of the most twisted minds in this world. Once, a clandestine scientific community in Refetia managed to capture a female Telekian, on whom they subsequently conducted a great many diverse experiments, one of which was an attempt to recreate human reproductive functions in the subject's body and subsequent childbirth. The result of this experiment was Kalatea Akodam. Unfortunately for the scientists, the original subject exhausted her resources and was disposed of, so they had to turn their attention to the newborn.

Kalatea became a kind of half-breed. Being stronger than a simple human, she still did not possess the same destructive power as the rulers of Telekia. At the same time, she could fight against wounds, diseases, and unwanted effects of old age by absorbing foreign blood into her body, which was facilitated by her developed fangs. Sunlight only irritated her, but no more than that.

Having escaped from the researcher-torturers (and killing many of them in the process), Kalatea tried to find her place in the world, but for a long time, these attempts ended as soon as the people around her found out who she really was. Her wanderings and mental anguish ended only with a meeting with King Moech of Castiglione Starlight, who accepted and loved her for who she was...
