Leila had no doubt that the Hall of Curiosities would contain items of various kinds, but she still expected the sections to be divided by their themes. These expectations were not confirmed, and the first "collection" turned out to be a primate skeleton, skillfully crafted weapons from distant lands, and a portrait of one of His Majesty's daughters. If it weren't for the ape remains, one could still group the other two items under "works of art," but the distant relative of Jaime from Naedjem strongly hindered this. Unless one were to give free rein to their imagination and interpret it as a "masterpiece created by nature itself." Or even suggest that this particular primate was a very gifted artist in its lifetime. But most likely, the organizers of the exhibition either didn't pay attention to what and where to place, or they specifically put items in this section that didn't fit anywhere else.
