1) 8/10 There is something calming about this photo. A quiet, secluded stream in the forest, far from the hustle and bustle of people. If you look at it from a certain angle, it even creates the impression that the picture is moving. Although I'm not sure how this effect was achieved. Maybe it's just my imagination. It's a good example of images where no preliminary preparation of the location is required, and it's enough to just find a good place and choose the right angle. In fact, preliminary preparation could even ruin the effect that makes this photo special. 2) 8/10 Good work on the costume and the overall image. The location is well-chosen to match the costume and the image. And the additional effects, along with the chosen angle, are pleasing to the eye. It's clear that the team cared about the final result and approached the creation of the photo thoroughly and responsibly, with a clear idea in mind. In my opinion, it's not inferior in quality to many photos used in magazines. 4) 5/10 This is definitely a photo. It was taken with a camera. It even captures a landscape. Maybe it's just me, but this kind of "simplicity" doesn't evoke any strong emotions in me. I don't see any particular idea here. The landscape could also be more colorful. But there are no glaring flaws, so I can only deduct points for the lack of imagination. That's why I'm giving it an average score. 5) 8/10 A stark contrast to the previous work. It's also a landscape, but the overall picture is much more picturesque. The team that took the photo even took the time to find a convenient vantage point from which to capture this view. It's a very inspiring sight, well conveying the beauty of the nature surrounding Almy, just like the first work. 6) 3/10 A beautiful seascape. Unfortunately, its beauty is marred by the person in the corner, who draws attention to themselves. Less effort was put into the new image of the model than in work number 3, and it's clear that she hasn't fully embraced the role. There is a certain uncertainty and shyness that contrasts with the intended idea. As a result, the image falls apart. Unless I'm missing something, and this shyness is actually the whole point. Again, due to the strange arrangement of elements, the model and the environment don't complement each other, but rather seem to compete for attention. If there were no people in the photo, and the sea was the main focus, the score would be higher. 7) 10/10 And again, a wonderful work that, in contrast to the previous one, looks even more remarkable. This would be a very good idea for a painting, and the implementation of such a concept in one day, using readily available materials, deserves special praise! Good composition, which clearly required a lot of effort. A well-chosen angle to convey the magic of the image. And the drawing itself, which I suspect is an original creation by one of the team members, is pleasing to the eye. Perhaps the best of the contest entries, which surely took the authors a lot of time to create. 8) 7/10 The model's image is conveyed much better than in work number six, but I can't say that it's particularly interesting to me. I can't really find anything to criticize, though. The decorations are well-chosen, and again, it's clear that the team behind this photo had a clear idea. They didn't quite reach the level of some of their competitors, but they still did a good job. I'm sure there will be those who can appreciate this image. 9) 6/10 It's more like a clipping from a nature magazine than an artistic photo. Perhaps insect lovers would appreciate this work more, but I personally can't say that it evokes much enthusiasm in me. It's not particularly colorful, it doesn't evoke strong emotions, but I don't see any technical problems either. I'll even add a point for originality. 10) 9/10 A good and unusual image, but at the same time, it lacks the "artificiality" of some other works. The location is very well-chosen and beautiful in itself. And the cats please my eye much more than the cicadas. There is something warm and comforting about this image, although it's clear that it's the result of joint effort and careful preparation. If it weren't for work number seven, this would be the strongest work in the contest. But still, the original idea of the seventh entry slightly outweighs the warmth of the tenth. Just a little. In another situation, I would have given it a ten, as the concept and execution are excellent. I hope the cats approached the team's initiative with understanding and didn't scratch anyone. 11) 5/10 I don't quite understand the idea behind this photograph. It's a simple image of an office, without any additional elements. There are no technical complaints, but I don't understand what this particular image is supposed to be about and what emotions it's supposed to evoke. Was it just a desire to photograph a beautiful and neatly arranged office? Maybe. Apparently, this work is not for me. 12) 7/10 Another work "not for me," but at least the idea is clear here. And more effort was put into it. Perhaps, of all the teams, this one put the most effort into creating the image. This applies to both the makeup artists and the model herself. At the same time, not every composition requires such complex images. For example, the image from the tenth photograph looks simpler to implement, but it complements the image well. Here, the image is the central element of the picture, and the main focus is on it. And the idea is conveyed quite well, although it is quite simple in itself. It should appeal to those who appreciate it. 13) 10/10 The most beautiful of the landscapes. Perhaps my love for sunsets plays a role here, but the thirteenth work seems to me the most colorful in its category. The well-chosen decorations, the angle, and even the fireflies that ended up in the frame create an atmosphere of something magical and otherworldly. It's as if the team behind this photo managed to capture not so much the beauty of nature as its magic. And, judging by the position of the sun, it took them a long time. I don't know if they came up with this idea right away, or if they just happened to stumble upon such a spectacular sight. Either way, I'm glad they had a camera on hand at that moment. You don't get to see something like this every day. It probably deserves all ten points.
