Thanks, the map was really enjoyable, and playing it a few days after defending my thesis was just what I needed.
Amazing videos and atmosphere in all the departments. The magic practically stares at you from the start, beckoning you to take it. I wasn't familiar with the "wishmaster" build, so I had to write a script to calculate everything for me. It felt like I was creating a similar game myself.
After playing the magic build, I tried it a couple of times to experiment with different approaches. I have to say, the gameplay is very varied depending on the skills you choose. First, I went with a reliable strategy: summoning, which allowed me to conquer Utopia twice, equip myself with artifacts, and buy more items from the shop – basically, I became a local rich kid. Then, I added Retribution & Vengeance to the mix. It was unbearable to see the uncompleted philosophy quest, but I barely noticed the final quest itself.
Then, I tried my favorite Chaos with the Sorcerer's Luck skill and machines, as I also liked that quest. With this combination, it's hard to conquer Utopia, so I decided to go straight to the professor. In this version, his special ability worked perfectly, and he wiped out my entire army in two turns. I was already preparing to discuss Nietzsche with him, as I forgot that I had Armageddon in my spellbook, but luckily, I remembered in time. An epic battle ensued. It's a shame that you can't solve real-life problems with exams in the same way...
I just didn't understand the part with Laszlo, where he says that you can solve problems with quests from other departments with him. He didn't offer me any alternatives. What was that supposed to be about?
