The way the news of Laurence's dismissal was presented to the students was reminiscent of the disappearance of Sisnemis; she was there, and then suddenly she was gone, for an unclear reason, and they tried to cover it up, just like the April events with the three murders. If you remember how she quite accurately figured out Carvia, then perhaps she learned something else that those in power preferred to hide. And the appointment of someone like Ianira to her position only confirmed the suspicions. Duncan's dismissal was long overdue; he had repeatedly demonstrated incompetence in his position at the academy, and at the last ceremony, the old general finally crossed the line, and as a result, he was sent away, certainly not without Futaba's involvement. In his case, the tioskets certainly weren't going to miss him.

Levizia allowed Gideon and Aliduum to live in separate rooms.
Now, Levizia's words about the duration of his cohabitation with the demon took on a new meaning. They sounded very strange at the time, after the idealistic nonsense that the headmistress had been spouting before, it seems like some kind of cunning idea. It was hard to believe that she seriously thought that he had developed an understanding for Aliduum during this time; it was more likely about the demon. Did he complain, although about what? It seems like after a special honor at the ceremony, Aliduum runs to his patroness, with tears in his eyes, tells her that people are offending him and asks to isolate himself from them. It's like a joke. Although, why would she even care about such an insignificant detail as their cohabitation when so much strange stuff is happening in the academy and in her own royal family? It's unclear, something is not right here. She looked quite gloomy upon her return from a mission or wherever she had been, so it's unlikely to be a joke. And since they so graciously provided the opportunity to make his move...
— Well, I'll go back. — Gideon said to the demon, slung the bag he had packed over his shoulder, and headed for the exit of room 305. — Have a good time.
