The beginning of the War.

I looked at the map, and this bug with player selection sometimes occurs. I experienced it myself once. I allowed myself to fix it (I hope the author won't mind; I didn't touch anything else). To correct the bug, I opened the map in the editor and re-set the player parameters in Player Properties.

I wanted to play today, but it seems it's not meant to be...
