If the teachers wanted to rig the election in favor of Futaba, they could have done it in a more subtle way. If the goal was to show off and assert themselves at the expense of a group of underage kids, it just looked pathetic. It's hard to imagine a more shameful achievement than an old man, covered in medals and orders, finding pleasure in tormenting inexperienced youngsters. There was only one other possibility: everything that happened was a carefully planned nail in the coffin of the Levezia democratic coalition; a desire to clearly demonstrate who is in charge now and how things will be run in the academy from now on.
Nira glanced around the hall with mild interest, her gaze stopping on the victorious classmate.
