After glancing at the meager text of the petition, Gideon regretfully noted that it seemed vague and could easily be dismissed as a reaction to the shock of seeing an unexpected guest.
— I agree that the presence of a demon within our walls is unacceptable and will not lead to anything good. At the same time, as Fortis has already discovered, this is not some kind of mistake, but a deliberate decision that even Duncan could not persuade them to abandon. It is difficult to judge what caused it; I suspect that there is some kind of influence at play, so powerful that no rebellious piece of paper, no matter how many signatures it has, can overcome it.
