The duel with Futaba turned out to be quite intense, and dodging her opponent’s attacks was not much easier for Leila than dodging Mana’s shots. The only difference was that while the gunslinger fired one bullet, the exotic sword enthusiast managed to make three swings in the same amount of time, each of which passed dangerously close to Leila’s face. Perhaps Duncan will be satisfied with this battle, unless the old warrior considers it too even for field conditions. For herself, the time mage realized that their styles with Futaba were not so different, despite the difference in their chosen weapons. It was a useful experience, although the defeated opponent would hardly agree to a rematch outside of tournament time. There was also something to be proud of – she managed to defeat one of the presumed favorites of the event, although this did not guarantee victory in the tournament itself.
