A minute passed, then another... Gideon sat on a stool, staring at the empty space where Duncan had been. He felt like a prisoner awaiting the continuation of his interrogation. How could he have ended up in this situation? This was wrong. And his patience was gradually running out. He was not a prisoner, and no one was guarding or watching over him in this room. Although, perhaps he shouldn't leave. But still, he needed to do something to understand what was happening.
I'm not entirely sure where I am, but if there's a window, I'll look out of it and listen to the sounds outside; if not, I'll listen at the door.
