Leila was pleasantly surprised to find herself near the top of the list. Of course, first place would have been an even more pleasant surprise, but even this result was quite good – only five positions separated her from the top, and, amusingly, also five points. Good news, especially against the backdrop of Buddlea's recent unrest, was that her new friends from the dormitory also performed well. It would have been very unpleasant if she had ended up closer to the bottom of the table. The only thing that slightly spoiled the situation was that they were all scattered across different classes, and Karvia, as the class supervisor, was of greater interest to Leila. However, Leila couldn't bring herself to call Miss Hatioru a bad choice either – she was undoubtedly not only a responsible woman, capable of helping even the laziest students, but also a very erudite one. Leila saw no reason to complain about the stars not aligning properly.
“Oh, just one point short,” Leila said, jokingly complaining to Ixora among the crowd gathered near the board, “just a little more, and we would have been not only roommates but also neighbors on the list.”

The director's speech pleased Leila, adding a certain grandeur to today's events simply by its existence. Few residents of Sakuramor could boast that the princess of the kingdom personally gave a concert at their entrance ceremony.
