Sacred Haven of Debauchery

To be honest, I didn’t have very much experience or very many different MGs, but the process itself didn’t seem interesting or engaging to me; on the contrary, I found aspects that made this process simply unpleasant and boring. It feels like co-authoring a book, and if there’s one thing I absolutely dislike and am bad at, it’s working with a co-author. I’ve probably played the most on HeroesWorld (almost exclusively, lol, aside from a couple of attempts on random forums with five players and three posts, which I joined purely for the excitement with familiar people), just to be part of the buzz with the HeroesWorld folks. But at some point, I realized that you don’t need a silent player, and I don’t need to read hundreds of pages every day without understanding what’s going on. Of course, I like to grumble about the hardcore-mod exp of Revnya, and Nebo as an MG is much more comfortable for me, but I didn’t feel any fundamental or even significant difference in how much I was engaged by the games of one MG or another, so the issue is clearly with me. Perhaps this is the main reason for my distancing from the HeroesWorld community, because for many here, exps are the main pastime and a field for communication and inside jokes, but who knows — when I realized that if I don’t want to play in an exp, I don’t have to sign up for it, I felt relieved.
