It's difficult to put something more harmful than sugar into a confectionery product because all E-additives are strictly regulated and used in very small quantities, and sweets are not something you should eat by the kilogram. I do read the ingredients lists – it's a professional habit plus curiosity – but they don't influence my final decision to try a particular treat. Luckily, I've never had a severe allergy to anything. If, for example, I see "mechanically deboned poultry meat" in the ingredients of cutlets or dumplings, I'll think twice about buying them and will most likely look for something without that ingredient. But for sweets and snacks, the main criterion is that they taste good.
Some confectionery factory in Armavir produces them – they all have creatively named products.
In the Vologda region, there live these guys. I don't remember ever trying their products, but the names of their candies, such as "Wife's Secret Stash," "Man's Tear," or "Wind-Up Mother-in-Law," are definitely memorable.
By the way, I just found out that the gummy worms from KDV taste better than those from Marmi, and they're cheaper.
