I started my journey with the 3rd installment, and I spent a lot of time on Armageddon's Blade, but when I first launched the 5th game, I was literally stunned. And when the expansions came out, I realized that this was a game that was made with heart and soul; I don't even know how many hours I spent on this wonderful game. It's my favorite part of the series, with a beautiful soundtrack, incredibly interesting battles, and great gameplay changes that don't contradict the previous installments. The campaign for Agrael will forever remain in my memory!
Actually, it's hard to believe that the 8th part will be released; we can, of course, wait another year or two, but most likely, a remaster/remake of the 5th part will be released because there is not much to improve there. And, of course, the game will not be published by Ubisoft, but by a third-party developer, where the main mechanics of the Heroes series will be preserved. I think it will be the studio of John Van Caneghem - an American computer game developer, founder of New World Computing, and actively participated in the creation of such game series as Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic.
In 2014, Van Caneghem founded VC Mobile Entertainment (VCME) to create games for iOS and Android. He secured $4.5 million in investment from companies such as Tencent and Pacific Sky Investments. VCME's office is located in Los Angeles.
