The mod author also described his vision: the heroes should be easily recognizable and have a consistent visual style. That is, if there are people on horses, then everyone should be on horses, and in roughly the same color scheme. If there are mages on elephants, then again, everyone should be. Similarly, the demon models should be perceived as uniform, even though the heroes themselves have different builds. Perhaps I don't fully agree with this, but there is a considerable amount of truth in this approach, in my opinion, and it also looks organic.
