So, can this special ability only be given to Rangers? And is there a way to make a normal version of it? So that when they hit with it, the orb explodes and deals normal damage? Otherwise, the ability is useless.

I think this ability cannot be changed in any way – it was created for a hero-easter egg who doesn't even appear once in the game.

This ability was used in NHF for some barbarian hero; you can check if it was fixed there or not.

When I talk about NHF, I mean the old version without MCCS; everything might be changed in the new versions.
