There is no finale, but there is an interlude. And there will definitely be some add-ons. Think of it as the end of the first volume in "War and Peace," where Napoleon doesn't immediately fall and Pierre's life doesn't immediately fall into place.
It just seems strange to me to criticize the introduction of a plotline for a sequel.
