I'll add that for the first battle, I didn't look for a specific tactic because it was obvious right away. For the second battle, I spent half an hour, then read Vasche's message again, and when I saw that you could lose 1 vampire, the solution came to me immediately.
I agree with you in the context of the work done to prepare the battles. It's true that it's more interesting to play with minimal, but effective tactics. However, I believe the battles could be made a little shorter and simpler, which would only improve them. In the first battle, divide the stack size by 4; in the second, remove the attacking magic from the enemy; it doesn't add complexity but significantly reduces the chances of implementing the tactic.
