Gullveig approaches Veserod and says to him quietly:
-- I'm sorry, but I think it would be better to hand him over to the Countess and the local guard. It's our job to detain people like him, even though we were late. And for our colleagues from the Iron Watch, he's just dead weight. If you want, I'll take personal responsibility for it.
He cast a quick glance at the prisoner.
- And don't let yourself be fooled. The fact that he is beaten up doesn't mean anything. This man had a mission and the abilities to single-handedly infiltrate the lair of occultists, bandits, or whoever they are, and either destroy them all or steal his artifact. And he will paint you any picture to make you feel sorry for him. In other words, this is something that appropriate government people should deal with. They have already learned everything from him. What awaits him is either imprisonment or, possibly, subsequent negotiations with his country. Or execution - but that is exactly what would await him if he settled with the Countess. So, in this case, I am unyielding. Don't stir up trouble while it's quiet, and you won't be able to help him here.
