I find something else interesting. Let's imagine there was no "bolt to the eye," but the guy encountered another patrol squad. Since 99% of the soldiers in the expansions are arrogant jerks, and he looks like a mutant from Chernobyl, they would interrogate him rudely and aggressively (even more so than Anselm). How would he react to that? Wouldn't he immediately start smashing heads, and if they offered to tie him up and take him to the city (for safety), would he immediately unleash a wave of spells? Or am I misunderstanding this character's personality?

I'm not arguing anymore, I'm just trying to understand the correct course of action that was intended for us. Should we politely listen to him and escort him to the city? But what if he approaches the walls and blows everything up with magic? But he also won't agree to interrogation and detention. He hasn't technically broken any rules, but what should we say in the report? A plague avatar of a demon lord is wandering around the forest, and we let him go? And what prevents a squad of soldiers in Arthurian armor from saying that they are just returning from a festival and got lost in the forest?)))
In short, the more I think about this quest, the less I understand it.
