“When I arrived in Serberia, during discussions about the situation in Noria, I often encountered naive comments from many of my interlocutors. Life in free or even relatively free countries makes people very mistaken about even the simplest things. For example, when you stand in a crowd of ten thousand people, each of whom is shouting ‘Long live Meristia, glory to the elves, death to humans!’ or something similar, what is the probability that you will have the courage not only to not go with the flow but also to raise your voice against what is happening? Heh. But why am I saying this? It’s difficult to blame ordinary citizens for this, as the alternative choice requires too much courage from them, while it is the leaders who shape the ideas to which the masses then conform. I think that’s why the Baron dislikes the members of the Lunarian.”
