Let's say a remote control is an electrical device that is ultimately plugged into a 220V outlet. Let's also say that, theoretically, an electrical charge from a working water heater could somehow pass through the water (since the pipes are plastic) to the faucet. How does this relate to an unpowered heater or a battery, which is also not working, not conducting water through it at the moment, and connected to the same plastic pipes?
