A modest conversation began between the girls (they couldn't just stand around pretending to be strangers). Ilva told Kalentia about the latest news, including notes about Baldur and the further fate of her friend Gulveig's mentor. Kalentia, in turn, shared books about Regnleif and a guide to Baldur with her acquaintance, which she had wanted to read since their chance encounter in the flower shop.

During the conversation, Kalentia once again thanked Ilva for the recent treat, noting that she was too modest about her skills – the dish was excellent, and the argalian doubted that during her visit to Tamphan, she would come across anything even remotely comparable. Having made a sort of exchange, in which Kalentia lent Ilva a couple of her books, and Ilva allowed the argalian to read the newspaper, the girls began to read. Despite the important news about a possible coalition between Serberia, Nortia, and Mirai, Kalentia's thoughts, after Ilva's story, were occupied with a much less important news item for the world as a whole, but extremely important for the small world of Baldur's inhabitants. Gulveig had told her friend about meeting Theohard Bors, their conversation, and the difficult decision she had made. And Kalentia knew that it had not been easy for Gulveig. But now it turned out that the "noble knight" and "selfless member of the Amantor," Theohard Bors, had blatantly lied and manipulated the young girl, albeit in the hope of saving his sister from an unenviable fate. Perhaps he still believed that it was better for Vergil's health. Or maybe he had convinced himself of this so that his conscience would not bother him. Or perhaps he still didn't care about Vergil at all – the main thing was to save Teia. Either way, he had acted dirty and vilely, concealing his motives from Gulveig. His behavior was unworthy of someone who calls himself a servant of Arteria, even if one could understand why he had acted this way. If he were here now, Kalentia would have told him everything about it – but Theohard was now far away in Marion and would probably never visit Baldur again. So, at the moment, the argalian's main concern was to keep what had happened a secret from Gulveig while their group was in Tamphan. It was not worth spoiling her joy from the trip – let her have fun playing Braheu on stage and defeating opponents in the tournament. And then they could talk about everything.
