Anders was deeply upset by Gerda's cold reception. Apparently, he was just a business opportunity for her. "Sigh," he thought, "if only I were handsome, things might have turned out differently. It must be nice to be as handsome as Anselm... no wonder the fair-haired woman is chasing after him." Daniel interrupted his sad thoughts, somehow meeting him as he left Gerda's house. It made sense, as they both had the same mentor, and they understood each other well, even though they didn't have a strong personal connection. Daniel invited him to spend time with Matthias and Viktor. Anders also wanted to visit Matthias, so the invitation was timely and welcome. Once in a group of four, Anders found both books interesting. But, of course, the book about demons intrigued him the most – this brought back his original plan to create a cat advisor, but also, the resentment from Gerda's cold treatment was still fresh in his mind, so Anders was ready to consider all options. "It's not an easy choice, of course... but I would like to read the book about demons," he quickly added, "don't get me wrong, I'm not planning anything, I'm just curious, you know, purely in a theoretical sense, because any information can be useful, and in general..."
