After what happened, Stefania merely pulled a handkerchief from her pocket embroidered with the Valentine family crest, made long ago by her younger sister, and wiped the blood from her face and hair as best she could. Once done, she dryly suggested the others gather any useful gear left behind by those who had just fallen victim to Ikazkan magic and continue on their way.

In the meantime, when she found a moment, she wrote a brief and dry report on the so-called "battle":

During the reconnaissance mission, our group entered an anomalous zone littered with all sorts of skeletons, including human ones. While surveying the area, we managed to determine that the only way out was to thin out part of the group. No volunteers willing to remain in the dead zone of their own accord were found, so Eugene and I, as the group's leaders and most effective fighters, took it upon ourselves to decide who to take along. The choice fell on Odlid, Rgoktes, Makarena, and Manka, since the skills and abilities of these warriors could bring the greatest benefit to Guildaria's expedition.

What remained was to decide the fate of Botora, Oem, Izeia, Shevretta, Shani, and Murdera. Since they expressed no desire to stay voluntarily, the Knight of the Rusting Soul deemed them an obstacle in our path and stated that those unwilling to remain on their own would have to be struck down.

Before anyone could react, Eugene initiated the battle and activated the Ikazkan magic he had gained by acquiring a magical eye from a local creature. In less than a second, Botora, Oem, Izeia, Shevretta, Shani, and Murdera burst like overripe watermelons. An instant victory over those who should never have become our enemies.

Note 1: Eugene's newly acquired talent can be considered extraordinarily powerful and useful for Guildaria. The main thing is not to seek conflict with him or become his enemy.
