[МОД] NVS 3.0 - глобальный мод для Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East
Icons for castles (when building and on the campaign map at the bottom, and everywhere else they are used) and interface design when building https://heroesworld.ru/topic/at/1327685/
And as a bonus, the most atmospheric font, better than the default cursive and the crude Arial.
A few screenshots of how the interface currently looks
Interface
Thank you for the not-so-quick reply to my question. Overall, I figured you would suggest these very works. With all due respect to the other modding masters who worked on the aforementioned mods, I do not like these works and therefore I will not include them in NVS. If you want, use them on top of my mod, but I cannot vouch for their compatibility.
1. It is written in the compendium for my mod, and I believe I was supposed to mention briefly here in the first posts, that I am not a proponent of giving every hero a unique model. Unique models, in my opinion, are only appropriate for campaign and story heroes, whom you cannot play as in the regular game without using third-party mods. The rest will have default models in NVS, as you put it, but with altered textures; 2. With Zobra's mod you are crossing out my painstaking work on the original building icons for almost all playable factions. And I do not like the a-la Might & Magic Heroes VI approach here. Yes, it is practical, but there it fits well from a design standpoint. In Heroes of Might & Magic V, such a design, in my opinion, does not fit very well. That would only work if you globally changed the game interface skins; 3. The backdrops are ugly and overload the view of the unit model. Classic backdrops practically eliminate the moment of distraction or shifting focus away from the unit model; 4. A very simplified and ugly interface during battles. The flashy text draws attention to itself and looks bad. I do not like it. 5. The font is nice, but it has many large serifs, which makes it less readable. A different font is needed. However, I will note that the ability to replace the font appeals to me.
The reply was not quick because I had a lot of things to do before I got around to it and found everything. My job is to offer, and then you do as you see fit. All my changes are for the sake of practicality and ergonomics; "beauty" is a subjective concept) The color in the log highlights functionally — the action, who did it, the result — perhaps it is a matter of habit (there is, by the way, a log without color). As for the backdrops, that is also a matter of taste; you can see it without the overload by double-clicking the icon.
I do not like these changes. I am for beauty, aesthetics, and targeted changes. Not replacing everything for the sake of replacement.
