[МОД] NVS 3.0 - глобальный мод для Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East
Icons for castles (when building and on the campaign map at the bottom, and everywhere else they are used) and interface design when building https://heroesworld.ru/topic/at/1327685/
And as a bonus, the most atmospheric font, better than the plain default and crude Arial.
A few screenshots of how the interface currently looks
Interface
Thank you for the not-so-quick reply to my question. Overall, I figured you would offer me those very works. With all due respect to the other modding masters who worked on the aforementioned mods, I do not like those works and therefore will not include them in NVS. If you want, use them on top of my mod, but I cannot vouch for their compatibility.
1. In the compendium for my mod it is written, and briefly here in the first messages, I should have mentioned that I am not in favor of giving every hero a unique model. Unique models, in my opinion, are only appropriate for campaign and story heroes, whom you cannot play as in a regular game without using third-party mods. The rest will have default models in NVS, as you put it, but with altered textures; 2. With Zobra's mod you are crossing out my painstaking work that I did on the original building icons of almost all game factions. And I do not like the a-la Might & Magic Heroes VI approach here. Yes, it is practical, but from a design standpoint it fits well there. In Heroes of Might & Magic V, such a design, in my opinion, does not fit very well. That is, unless you globally change the game interface skins; 3. The backdrops are ugly and overload the view of the unit model. Classic backdrops almost eliminate the chance of distraction or shifting focus away from the unit model; 4. A very simplified and ugly interface during battles. The flashy labels draw attention to themselves and look bad. I do not like it. 5. The font is nice, but it has many large serifs, which makes it less readable. A different font is needed. However, I will note that the ability to replace the font appeals to me.
The reply was not quick because I had a lot of things to do before I got around to it and found everything. My job is to offer, and then you do as you see fit. All my changes are in favor of practicality and ergonomics; "beauty" is a subjective concept) The color in the log functionally highlights the action, who did it, and the result; perhaps it is a matter of habit (there is, by the way, a log without color). As for the backdrops, that is also a matter of taste; you can see the unit without overload by double-clicking on the icon.
