I just checked it myself, everything works fine, and nothing broke during tests. What other mods do you have installed? Possibly a mod that unlocks all heroes?
Found the mod that broke everything; it didn't touch the heroes.
It was a base for a mod on ncf+naf+hero classes+AIadv.
I'm used to ncf core working fine with the standard engine, but here it needs to be launched from the patched one.
