"Time will pass, and you will marry him, the prestige of our lineage will increase, and Florensan will gain worthy rulers in the form of your noble duo" — these were the words with which the head of House Stradivari described his daughter's wonderful future. Lilen had known the lord's son since early childhood and, for as long as she could remember, harbored very strong feelings for him. She was certain that the two of them were destined to be together, and for his sake she learned various skills, took care of herself, aggressively drove away other suitors, and prepared for the long-awaited wedding. Even her title was earned in attempts to please the young heir: in their youth, the entire lordly retinue knew well that the boy loved cupcakes, and Lilen spent countless evenings honing her culinary skills. Lord Gitgood Flavoresence, who enjoyed the cupcake gift of the young talent alongside his son, later granted her a knightly title based on this event: "I was greatly inspired by your diligence and passion, and I want you to channel the same emotions into defending the interests of Florensan's residents!" And everything in Lilen's life was going splendidly until the very day her beloved brought that wretch to Florensan. Foolish, unkempt, depraved... The hardest part for the Knight of Aromatic Cupcakes was realizing that this wanton woman had obtained everything she herself had tirelessly worked for over the years, simply by virtue of her existence.
"Are we merely playthings in the hands of cruel gods? Are all our efforts in vain and our desires futile?"
