Nah. A regular nuke will at most destroy a city and "tickle" the surrounding area a bit. But here it's a whole region... So no, this smells like something "hydrogen-based"...

They nuked a flying city, and it in turn fell and destroyed Albus. The city itself was packed with weapons and all sorts of junk, so it's logical that the whole region got wiped out.
