Nah. A regular nuke will at most level a city and "tickle" the surrounding area a bit. But here it's a whole region... So no, this smells like something "hydrogen" based...
They nuked a flying city, and it fell and destroyed Albus. The city itself was packed with weapons and all sorts of junk, so it's logical that the whole region got wiped out.
