Working simultaneously for Gildaria, Cortina, and Faredjia, Hatharaight acquired a vast store of necessary knowledge, resources, and even some new artifacts — so many that many a treasury would pale in comparison to his arsenal. All he had to do was wait for a major event. And it happened — the sun illuminating the night over Tezoth served as the long-awaited sign. The pain of so many lost souls partially paralyzed the monsters of regret, for their mother needed to digest a very dense meal. Leaping into the saddle of a nameless pegasus, the denizen of the Dungeon rushed toward the center of the continent — toward the crater. While airborne, he subjected the monsters to a devastating bombardment — arrows exploding upon contact with their bodies or the ground, dealing fire damage to all living things. Descending to land, he switched to piercing arrows — swift shots that destroyed everything in their path. He didn't even need to dirty his hands. Stopping near a wall of living, moving flesh, he plunged his sword into it and soon carved a door sized for himself. Inside, everything was covered in foul and unpleasant-to-the-touch slime, and abomination-like organisms moved about, but this did not stop him — he stepped inside and soon reached the heart. There he found the main monster... Iphilla herself.
And there he took her. Not because he wanted to save the world. Not because he was driven by love. But simply because he wanted to. How this will affect the situation on the continent — only time will tell.
